Scrappy Hour

Scrappy's Bar wants to welcome queers for cocktails on the playa. Camp Scrappy is a small camp (8!), building a scrap wood bar for green man this year. We are aiming to be between 8-8:30 and around E / F. We will register at playa info once we get settled. Arriving Monday, hoping to have the bar going by Tuesday. Come by for a drink!

Today is clear but very windy. You get mighty pelted with dust.
makes a crappy loufa.

plan for wind, dust and cold at night.

We all know that there are other lesbians on the playa, but sometimes amongst the abundance of the playa, it can be hard to find each other. Come lounge out in our sushidome and make deep connections and have some casual fun with like minded women and those that adore us. In other words, an old fashion lesbian meet and greet. 1 Queer Kid Needs a Ride and Home!

Hello Lovely Burners!

My starving college student self just got a last minute ticket to Burning Man. I'm hoping that some fabulous queers leaving from San Fran will have one extra space for me and my modest amount of stuff (no bicycle).

ALSO, If someone has a tent or has any idea where a tentless person can crash, please let me know! This will be a platonic sleeping situation, in case you're wondering ;)

Aloha all! Sparrow here, from Austin, TX. And I'm in a bit of a bind... I am BEYOND broke. I have been doing way too much with regionals this year: I Rangered at Myschievia, helped to build The Birdcage and the COLD Church for Flipside (both of which are going to the desert), volunteered my ass off at Flipside (including Rangering), was parking lead for Transformus...etcetc... And as a big surprise "Welcome Back!" when I got back from Transformus my employer fired me. YAY! Anyway, I'm struggling along now, got a new job, but I am managing to get out there only by organizing and driving the Community Truck for Austin, and I still need a ticket. If anyone can give me any leads to a cheap ticket, I would really, really, really appreciate it! I have to see The Birdcage burn this year! Please!!!

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give. And sorry about the (all too true) sob story (and cross-posts). :}

well, i hope everybody had an amazing time! i really did... especially this one night where 5 of us formed a boy band from the wine and dragking party my gf and i had at our camp... 'boys to kings' had a blast roaming around the playa- putting ties on all the women we could. the next night, 'new kings on the cock' roamed around the city, and even performed at the blacklight camp... a shout out to my bros: joey, max, mike, and chris- and everyone else too...

This will be my 4th burn! The first year I went 2000, I found the dyke community in Black Rock pretty invisible. The last two times I've been back, I saw more dyke/bi grrl camps/signs/etc. so hopefully this year will have more! I'd love the idea of a Jilly Lube type thing for girls. You know, Lesbians are hip these days :)
