LOL I knew that would get your attention. I have a friend of mine coming to burning man for the first time this year! She was very sexually shy until recent months where she is breaking out of her shell. I am never able to find any sex tents or groups at burning man and it sucks, but I don't look to hard either. This year we are both actively seeking a tribe/camp that where you can talk about sex, have sex, watch people have sex or anything that can get her past her comfort zone. I think she will be willing to start with Talk about sex lol... any ideas?

Sun, June 22, 2008 - 1:47 AMThere are a whole lot of theme camps on the playa that are all about sex- the most of which elude me right now. Check out the burning man website and you can read through the theme camps. Even for camps that aren't 24/7 sex, there are a lot of events- check out the What Where When when it comes out for a huge list. I'm sure the Great Canadian Beaver Eating Contest is happening again. As is the Goddess Worship event.
Meanwhile, my camp, Camp Beaverton hosted an all-women's play party last year, and there is talk of doing it again, as it was a staggering success. If your friend is queer, or even if she just wants to be in a safe space of all women as she explores her sexuality, stop by Beaverton (part of FreedomCommunity Camp). Even when we're not having sex, there is a lot of awesome, frank discussion going on. -
